17 th MVK Turkısh Amateur Open Championship has started
One of the most important international amateur championship MVK Turkish Amateur Open Championship take a start in Gloria Golf Club at 07.30 today.
110 amateur men and women golfers from 22 different countries will be playing in Gloria Golf New Course during 27-30 September 2018.
The countries which attended the championship are ; Russıa,Germany,Unıted Kıngdom,Unıted States,Italy,Czech Republic,Netherlands,Lebanon,Malta,Denmark,Slovenia,Hungary,Finland,Croatia,Lithuania,Bulgaria,Austria,Poland,Kazakstan .
There will be a 54 hole cut and after three rounds the leading 40 players and ties in the men’s category and 20 players and ties in the ladies’ category will qualify to play the final round.
The winner shall receive a gold medal, the runner up a silver medal and the 3rd placed competitor a bronze medal. In the event of a tie for the silver or bronze medal, the places will be decided on the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes in that order.
Prize presentation for men and ladies’ championships will take place together at the GLORIA GOLF CLUB as soon as possible after the final round has been completed.
The winner of the Men’s category will receive an invitation to play at the 2019 Turkish Airlines Challenge provided he meets criterias requested by the Challenge Tour.
