TARİHÇE

2021

Turkish Golf Federartion has been in autonomous status from 9th September 2005 onwards . All the activities of the federation can be followed from the Activity Reports according to the years from the website

2000

With its hardworking and dynamic team ,Turkish Golf Federation works for its aim to develop golf sport in Turkey with intensive tournament programs both nationally and internationally .

1996

Turkish Golf Federation was established in 12.02.1996 with the efforts of Mr.Raif Bilir who was the president till 24.01.2001. Ahmet Agaoglu has taken over the presidency during 2001.

1990

The next attempt for establishing golf courses is in early 1990’s with Klassis Golf Club in Silivri –Istanbul which is followed by Kemer Golf & Country Golf Club in Göktürk- Istanbul. The golf courses in Belek- Antalya started to be build after 1994.Today there are 15 golf courses in Belek and during 2008 ,the region was the recipient of Best Golf Destination of Europe by IAGTO

1895

The first golf club has been established in 1895 as Constantinapole Golf club which is known today as Istanbul Golf Club.
